Job Description: Foreman - Concrete
Functional Summary:
This position is a direct report to the Project Manager. The Foreman is responsible for project layout and crew management. The Foreman provides a broad range of support functions for the Project Manager, along with hand work, panel setting, carpentry, and installing reinforcing.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Foreman include, but are not limited to:
- Takes direction from Project Manager and all aspects of on-site work
- Is responsible to perform project within time frame outlined, and with manpower resources outlined by Project Manager
- Works with, directs and teaches new Laborers job-specific skills:
- Clearly communicates goals & objectives
- Maintains discipline
- Maintains quality standards
- Maintains safety protocols
- Responsible for layout and construction of concrete foundations
- Leads concrete crew through various projects from start to finish. May assist with additional job site tasks
- At the start of each shift, is responsible for preparing materials for each day’s work

- Responsible for tracking and maintaining material inventory required to perform project tasks. Notifies Project Manager, in advance, when additional materials need to be ordered

- Capable of providing lay-out
- Responsible for coordinating daily activities with excavation crew
- Load and unload forms, rebar, and other construction materials
Safety:
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s Safety manual, and encourage all employees to adopt company’s safety culture
- Participate in weekly safety meeting
- Work in a safe responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure one’s self or endanger the well-being of others
Qualifications:
Education, Training and certifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Driver’s License - Required
Work Experience
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in the concrete trades
- Experience with form setting and flat work
Technical Knowledge
- Total Station knowledge is a plus but not required

Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, extreme temperatures, and work sites will have uneven and inconsistent work surfaces
- Must be able to regularly lift 50 LBS and on occasion lift 100 LBS
- Kneeling and bending is regularly required
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required, ensure crew is utilizing PPE’s as well
- Travel may be required

- Work attire – Tee shirts to have a minimum of a 4” sleeve with our company logo, pants, and appropriate work boots
- Drug and Alcohol use will not be permitted during working hours
